This is How I Trim My Split Ends

Because individual hair strands vary in length and split ends can be found at any point.  I trim my split ends using the following method:

  • I take a small section of hair and detangle

  •

  • I carefully twist them in a gentle downward motion.
Any split ends will automatically stick out.

  •

  • I carefully snip into the split ends with sharp scissors. Don't cut right through the twist; just cut the actual split ends to remove the damaged cuticles and give a natural layered effect.

Healthy Hair Journey Starting Pick and Length Check

I joined the Summer Growth Spurt Challenge on Long Hair Care Forum, which starts June 21.  Details on my hair regimine will be posted soon.  The first picture is of my length and the second is a picture of my hair texture.  My hair is layered.  My hair's shortest layer in the back is 5" and the longest layer is 6".  In the front my hair is an average of 7".
